FAQs
You use plastic in some of your packaging. Is it safe?
Yes, all of the plastics Eminence use are BPA free.
Do you have vegan-friendly products?
Eminence have a range of products that are vegan-friendly. For more information, please contact info@theskinsmith.co.uk
Do you have products that are considered gluten-free, soy-free or nut-free?
Yes, Eminence has products that are free from some of the more common "ingredients" that may cause sensitivities or allergies.
In some cases, a dietary sensitivity or allergy does not necessarily relate to a topical allergy. Issues experienced when these ingredients are digested may not cause a reaction to the skin when applied topically in a product.
It is advised that you perform a patch test first and use products according to your comfort level, seeking advice from your doctor regarding any concerns you have.

Some of your products are labelled "stimulating" or HOT. What does this mean?
A stimulating, hot product has been specially formulated to increase circulation and may create a tingling or hot sensation on your skin. Stimulating products utilise ingredients such as paprika, cinnamon or nettle. These products increase oxygen to heal the skin and encourage cell renewal, detoxifying the skin for a brighter, healthier complexion and increased absorption of your subsequent products for enhanced results.
What percentage of organic ingredients are found in Eminence Organic Skin Care products?
Eminence products are brimming with healthy organic ingredients. Containing a minimum of 70% and up to 95% organic ingredients, we are leading the way in results-driven organic skin care. The remaining percentage of our ingredients follow our company philosophy:

Sustainable | Propylene Glycol |
Cruelty Free | Animal Testing |
Are your products considered pregnancy safe?
As everyone is unique, we advise that pregnant clients check with their doctor or healthcare practitioner to ensure there are no contraindications relevant to them. We generally suggest that pregnant clients avoid stimulating products as their skin may be more sensitive during pregnancy.
You mention that products are hand-made, how does Eminence maintain this in their manufacturing processes?
Ingredients are hand-picked, hand-sorted and hand-prepared. Our team of farm labourers in Hungary and our production teams continue to grow in numbers each year.
There is a slight difference in colour in my product, why is that?
Eminence uses natural, organic and Biodynamic® ingredients. As in nature itself, colour varies from one harvest to another. An heirloom tomato, for example, may be red, yellow or even orange, and these natural differences will produce slight changes in colour in the final product. The effectiveness of the products is not compromised by any colour differences.
Eminence is continually launching new products, why is this?
Eminence wants to offer the best products with the most effective results. The constant innovation of our formulations ensures the latest skin care technology is utilised in our new product formulations.
Which preservatives are used in Eminence products?
Natural preservatives are used based on the best suitability for each product, naturally optimising the antioxidants of the fruits, vegetables and herbs. The average shelf life of an Eminence Organic Skin Care product is 12 months.
What is the Organic Phytonutrient Blend™?
Each Organic Phytonutrient Blend™ is a revolutionary formulation made of organic fruits and vegetables, tailored to a specific skin concern. These tailored blends are nutrient-dense to provide optimal benefits & protection to the skin. In this case, more is definitely more!
What is Biocomplex2™?
Eminence launched the original Biocomplex™ over 10 years ago. Since then, as skin care science has improved, we have made changes to the original formulation to add even more antioxidants.
Certified organic ingredients such as Lemon, Coconut, Indian Gooseberry, Baobab, Acai, Goji Berry, Barbados Cherry and Camu Camu have been incorporated into Biocomplex2™. Additional ingredients including Alpha Lipoic Acid and Coenzyme Q10 produce anti-ageing, nutrient rich skin nourishment.
I see you do not contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, do you use an alternative SLS?
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) is an ingredient that causes foaming and bubbles. You would commonly find this type of ingredient in products like bubble bath or shampoo. As it can be a skin irritant, Eminence does not use it in our product formulations. An alternative derived from coconut oil (Coco Glucoside) is included in some products.
Does Eminence add fragrances or colours to the products?
The colours and fragrances of Eminence products come from non-harmful essential oils and the natural colours of the ingredients used.
Where are the ingredients for Eminence products sourced?
Eminence sources our premium ingredients from across the globe. They are combined with Hungarian herbal craftsmanship to bring the best quality products to the market. Most products are still made in Hungary, with a percentage made in North America.
